Sponsorship
Dear Friends, Supporters, and Allies,
We are proud and humbled to witness the impact of the Women’s Tree Climbing Workshop® (WTCW) on the world of arboriculture and beyond. WTCW has grown into a genuine workforce development program. We build career paths, create network opportunities, and develop CEU training for new and existing arborists.
Looking Back
In 2023 we embraced the outpouring of requests to host more classes and workshops. WTCW has expanded its offerings to include more chainsaw safety classes, aerial rescue workshops, gear inspection training, First Aid/CPR/AED certification courses, leadership development classes, individually tailored training & education programs, along with our traditional 2.5-day workshops. We champion that 10% of our participants have entered or enhanced their careers in arboriculture.
WTCW, a historically women’s organization, is dedicated to supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the arboriculture industry by providing a space to elevate underrepresented individuals. We have evolved to include all genders and identities. In 2023, we proudly hosted our first ever all gender workshop with overwhelmingly positive feedback.
Looking Forward
For 2024, the full-time leadership team is excited to expand its capacity and offerings. We now boast the transition of WTCW owner, co-founder Melissa LeVangie Ingersoll to full time. Our first 2.5-day workshop is scheduled for February 23-25 as we collaborate once again with the ISA Texas Chapter. Other scheduled workshop locations include Massachusetts, North Carolina, Colorado, and Michigan. We are also working on taking WTCW to Vancouver BC, as well as New Zealand!
Your Support
Collaborating with generous supporters like you, allows us to keep our open workshops and class tuitions attainable. Workshop fees cover instruction, equipment use, food, lodging, and CEUs. Your support allows us to focus on our mission by making workshop sites obtainable, creating scholarships, funding travel expenses, enabling procurement of equipment, and more.
Your investment will impact people’s lives forever. Your support fosters professional development, education, and strengthens our ever expanding “mycelial network”!
